Catherine "Kate" Borkowski JD
Kate Borkowski has more than 20 years of experience serving Hoosiers throughout the state. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in English, Kate graduated from Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate.
Her legal experience running a successful law practice allowed her to handle cases in estate planning, probate administration, taxation, business transactions, and collections. While practicing law, she drafted wills, trusts, contracts, and business legal documents. She also prepared inheritance, estate, income, and fiduciary tax returns.
Kate was a tax attorney for the Indiana Department of Revenue, Inheritance Tax Division. It is there that she began her passion for helping people and families who didn't understand complex tax issues and legal documents that played an important part in passing assets from one generation to the next.
After managing trust divisions for several banks and an investment company, Kate started her own fiduciary services company, acting as an independent trustee, guardian, executor, attorney-in-fact.
Kate is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Indianapolis Estate Planning Council.
Kate resides in Indianapolis with her two dogs and a cat. She enjoys golfing, reading, and boating. Kate supports several charitable organizations benefiting children, including the Kiwanis Club of Castleton, New Song Mission, Building Tomorrow, The Bally Foundation, and the Indianapolis Zoo.
